The market closes out June with an abundance of ripening produce such as summer squash, strawberries, broccoli, kale and other favorites.
New this past week were oyster mushrooms grown in Western Cranston at Zephyr Farm. Blue Skys Farm is bringing them to our market.
EcoRI News will be offering information about their excellent on-line news service. They also continue to provide a food waste pick-up service; if you can’t compost your food scraps yourself, this is great way to send that waste back to the earth rather than taking up space in the landfill. Stop by their table for more information.
The Edgewood Community Garden at Cherry Woods, next to Edgewood Highland School, still has some empty beds. The cost for a 4’x 16′ plot is $20. Please contact the Garden Manager Lisa Gibb at lisagibb2@verizon.net if you are interested.
See you at the market.
