Father’s Day is this Sunday, and you will find plenty of great gifts at this week’s market. From plants for the garden to exquisite balsamic vinegars to steak, chicken or fish for the grill, there’s something for every dad.
And if you are giving new electronic gadgets or clothes, get rid of the old ones at our bi-annual E-Waste Collection. Goodwill accepts all kinds of stuff; see below for the list.
More bounty from our farmers will be appearing at their stands this week: sugar snap peas from Blue Skys Farm, who will also be bringing chemical-free strawberries from Scratch Farm, lettuce and greens of all kinds from all our farmers, and gC Farms had some mighty good broccoli last week.
Fruit Hill Apiaries will be visiting us this Saturday with information about bees, honey, and beekeeping. Come meet the folks who supply our market table with their wonderful local honey and learn how the bees help us grow other foods, too.
A big Thank You! to all our customers who came to shop with us last week at the library. We hope that some of the people who discovered us at our temporary site will come down to Rhodes to see us every week, too.
And gratitude from the baby trees to Penelope and Danielle for watering them during these hot days. They look green and happy.
See you at the market.
