The Pawtuxet Village Farmer’s Market wishes all of you a healthy, happy and deliciously local holiday season. Thanks for your support for our vendors and the warm community spirit that envelops us year-round. These updates will continue over the cold months, keeping you informed of the improvements we are making to meet your expectations for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, keep visiting our vendors at their winter markets.
‘Tis the season for overwhelming recycling challenges, too. The packaging, metallic-coated paper, plastics of all descriptions, ribbons, glitter tissue and mountains of cardboard confront many families in the aftermath of Christmas and Hanukkah. Our brave eco-elves have offered to make a special trip to the landfill to dispose of your holiday styrofoam: solid packing, take-out containers, meat trays, hot beverage cups, foam plates, etc. No packing peanuts or squashy foam, please. Foam must be rinsed of food and placed in clear or translucent plastic bags for transport. You may bring your bagged foam to 25 Berwick Lane, Edgewood, or call Penelope 401 467-7362.
Here are Polly-Styrene and Penelope Paper-Please delivering their last collection (the back seat and trunk were stuffed full):
See you at a market.
