Finally, this Saturday promises to be Spring-like, not monsoon or early March. We hope to see many more of you as the weather improves. Get here early for the Knead Doughnuts, though; they sold out before 10:30 in their debut performance.
We were joined by a new vendor last week: Big Idea Lemonade, owned and operated by Serena Manna. Serena makes her fresh lavender lemonade as you wait, squeezing the lemons and grinding the lavender, then adding her own simple syrup made with organic sugars. She uses organic Meyer lemons, and her lavender is locally sourced from chemical-free farms, our own Blue Skys and Farmacy Herbs. She has joined forces with Christina Dedora of Blue Skys and her new venture, Sanctuary Herbs, which will sell teas and culinary herbs sourced from her own farm and other local farmers. Samples are available at the table. Stop by and check out both the lemonade and the teas, right next to the Blue Skys stand.
The Pawtuxet River Plant Walk, originally scheduled for this Saturday, has been postponed until May 27th at 10 AM. Meet at the red tent. Take a gentle hike on the trail that runs beside the river, and learn about the plants that thrive there, many of them only visible in the spring.
See you at the market.
