Cucumbers are ripe and ready to come to the market this week. Refreshing and perfect for hot summer days, just slice them and add to salads, sandwiches and drinks. Make a batch of refrigerator pickles (minimal or no cooking required!) for a cool, crunchy treat.
Wedgewood Flowers will be bringing more blueberries this week from their neighbors at Smith’s Berry Farm in Saunderstown. Just remember to get here early; they go fast!
For those of you who have been saving up your styrofoam cups, take-out containers and assorted large pieces of packing materials, including coolers, our volunteers will be collecting them at the market this Saturday July 8. Foam must be clean and unstained, smaller items should be stacked as much as possible and bagged in clear or translucent plastic bags. No squashy foam or packing peanuts can be accepted for recycling.
See you at the market.
