Cranston’s Comprehensive Community Action Program (CCAP) will be visiting us this Saturday with their annual “Fun at the Farmers Market” program. The WIC Nutrition staff will be providing games, activities and prizes for kids, as well as recipes and nutrition information for families and individuals. Stop by and get in on the fun!
It’s September: schools are in session, the days are growing shorter, and we can feel Fall in the air (when it’s not 90 degrees!). That means it’s apple time; Barden Family Orchard has been picking Honey Crisp and other early varieties. Head to their stand and enjoy the unmistakable crunch and aroma of freshly-picked fruit.
Are you a registered voter? Make your voice heard! State and local candidates will be facing off in the primary elections on WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 12!!! It’s unusual to have an election day on a Wednesday, but hopefully the voting public will get the message and show up at the polls on the right day. To check on your polling place and local candidates, contact your local canvassers office, or go to the RI Secretary of State’s voter information page: https://vote.sos.ri.gov/ovr/?search_type=personal
See you at the market.
