It’s time for the Edgewood Garden Club’s Annual Plant and Bake Sale; they will have lots of plants grown and potted by their members for sale, and baked goods, too. Funds raised go to support their many community projects, which include maintaining the plantings at the Hall Library, the Village Playground and Stillhouse Cove. They will also be collecting your gently used plastic pots and plant trays, which will be re-used by their members and our farmers. Please do not bring clay pots or broken containers.
Our farmers bring fall produce every week: from Pak Express, Blue Skys Farm, gC Farms and Barden Family Orchard come winter squash, root vegetables, greens, apples and cider, along with beautiful flowers, herbs, eggs and gourds. We also have fresh and smoked seafood from the Local Catch, chicken from Baffoni’s Poultry, meats from Weatherlow Farms, baked goods from Olga’s Cup + Saucer, Krazy Korner Bagels and Little Falls Cafe, nuts and nut butters from Virginia and Spanish Peanut Company, honey from Fruit Hill Apiaries and cheese from the Edgewood Cheese Shop. OURgrain features baked goods and flours made from Brewers Spent Grain, and Enjoyful Foods offers delicious cocoa mixes made with organic cacao. Ja Patty and Matilda Empanadas will be on hand with savory pastries in both meat and vegetarian options.
See you at the market.
